Lajčák Visits Ukraine as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office

Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), visited Ukraine today (13 June 2019). Following his visit to Kiev in January and to the contact line in Donbas, this is his second visit to this country as both Minister and the OSCE Chairman this year, during the Slovak chairmanship of this important international organization.

The celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the bi-communal dialogue in Cyprus wrapped up the second day of the visit of Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák in Cyprus. The analysis of the current situation with regard to the Cypriot issue and the possibilities for overcoming the obstacles hindering progress towards restoring the peace talks were the subject of the morning session of the international conference entitled “30 years of the dialogue between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties in service of peace in Cyprus.”

Účasť na slávnostnom zasadnutí lídrov a predstaviteľov grécko-cyperských a turecko-cyperských politických strán pri príležitosti 30. výročia bikomunitného dialógu, rokovania s osobitnou predstaviteľkou generálneho tajomníka OSN a šéfkou Mierovej misie OSN na Cypre Elisabeth Spehar, rokovania s rezortným partnerom Nicosom Christodoulidesom, predsedom Parlamentu Cyperskej republiky Demetrisom Syllourisom, ale aj otvorenie výstavy fotografií venovanej historickej úlohe slovenskej diplomacie pri riešení Cyperského problému.
