Miroslav Lajčák Receives Chinese Ambassador Lin Lin.

Today (17 April 2019), Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Lin Lin. The partners emphasized their interest in the further development of bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation also on the multilateral level. “We support the further enhancement of our cooperation also in the context of the symbolically significant milestone of commemorating this year the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations,” stated Minister Lajčák. The head of Slovak diplomacy welcomed the invitation to the second Belt and Road forum, which will be held in Beijing, on 25 and 26 April this year. Together with Mr Lin, they positively assessed the recent meeting of the prime ministers of the Slovak Republic and the People’s Republic of China on the sidelines of the 16+1 Summit in Dubrovnik, where, inter alia, a protocol concerning the export of Slovak milk and dairy products to China was signed.
